In an upcoming car show!

Was going to post this in the 96-98 Forums but decided it's more of a clubhouse-related matter, so here goes...

Wish me luck ladies n gents... my shiny red car is up for a trophy in the Young Owner's car class on Sunday. So I'll be spending all of tomorrow get'n her ready.

Earlier today before work, just for kicks, I removed my exhaust to see what it'd sound like w/o it - got to say, pretty badass

I might leave it like that for the show (just hope for no cops, lol) - it's a people's choice show, so adding to the "coolness" factor of my car is a good thing. And going exhaust-less certainly does that! heh heh. After the show I'll install my O/R xpipe I've been sitting on for months now.

I'll have pics come Monday, and I'll be certain to fill you in on how I do - my little brother has his '95 Eddie Bauer edition 351W-equipped Bronco in my class as well. So wish us both luck I guess.

(oh and Zip - I'll be trying out your "spy-shot" techniques with the camera, if ya know what I mean) :wink

good luck man i went to a car show like last month around here wasn't even in it and i was still gettin some more looks than some of the cars in there..

guess because most people around here think its a gt

thanks guys....

hopefully in the young owner's class (25yrs and younger) there won't be too many descent cars other than my bro's and mine... hopefully. My car can NOT compete in the stock Modular SVT class - there are waaaay too many mystics with less than 20K on their odometers... my 80K door-dinged and rock chipped cobra just isn't comperable, at this point. So hey, I'm 23 now, so I'll have this plus 2 more years to earn a couple blue ribbons, even if it's a lesser car class, who cares, right?

btw, my car is teeth-rattling loud having removed all but my stock exhaust manifolds... anyone care to donate a set of headers? then she'll really sound goood

ZERO haha... it's an all Ford show hee hee

But yeah... last year there was a 17 yr old girl who drove daddy's 69 Fastback to the show and entered it into young owners. Terrible. I think they changed the ruling to say that your name must be on the title, at least as a co-owner.
