Ls7 vs cammer

I want to hear your guys opinions on the future of the ford vs chevy battle. The new staple of the GM tuning scene is the Ls7, pretty soon the CAmmer will be the standard in Fords tuning scene, being that this is a mustang site, i want to hear which engine you would rather have.

LS7 for me. Ford Tough, with Chevy Stuff, is the way to go.

-1 fords are lighter than chevy and are motors are generally easier to free up hp

He's just talking about the engine. And actually, chevy engines are easier to free up HP. Just some heads and cams on a relatively stock LS1 gets you near 500 whp.

I dont no I just went with a random number I dont even think there is heads fo my car yet but you get the point heads and cams are a pretty radical power adder

yea really.. And umm heads and cam on ls1's make around 400 i dont know what you are gettin 500 from. people just randomly blurt out numbers they dont even know they are talking about.

They make decent numbers, but they won't add 200Hp. Hell they probably won't even add 100Hp. And thats why we have Superchagers & Turbos available.

the ford GT motor really sucks for the money actually...

Im gonna side with the ford on this one though

the whole "well you have use FI" is a retarded arguement - bc guess what "well you have to have a FKN 8.0L displacement" so people jsut need to STFU on that one... but also we will make more power w/ our FI than the GM and still have great gas mileage - FOR A HELL OF ALOT less money!

Ford ftw... (corvettes are sweet though)

Good point... 8.0 vs. 5.0cammer or 4.6 FI.... there motors always use displacement for power... Some say theres no replacement for displacement but the FI seems to work out, but then you slap on FI on the Ls7 and hold on to your seats... I still side with Ford.

i thought the LS engine was 7.0 not 8.0 and what are you talking about gas milage that engine is rated at 26mpg+ our 6bangers dont even do that, i would rather have the Ls 7 no doubt
