Lets see I was a Netork Administrator in the Air Force...I am a Systems Administrator in the Army as a contractor...

On average 10 - 15 times...You know how many people i get in my honeypot? Average of around 3-4 a week...

And I am not really on the computer at my house all that much...Using limewire you are already running one strike...You are running on barrowed time not running an anti-virus...Do you at least run a firewall?

All it takes is one .exe file to destroy yourtt system...

One .exe file to broadcast back to the creator with your ip and what ports are open...Then the creator will take over your computer and see what info they want...They will take that and then prolly use your computer in a DDoS...

Then you will realize a anti-virus is a needed piece of equipment...

Spyware remover is fine but AVG is an all in one...And IMHO it is the best out there for your average home computer user...

Also if a person wants to they can hide the virus in your music or whatever you are downloading and when you click the file you downloaded it will start the file but it will also actiuvate the virus and then you start broadcasting all your info to the creator and anyone else that he decides to let listen...

One care works about as good as using a butter knife to cut a brick. any symantic product isnt worth the resources it uses on your system. the @ top AV systems on the market right now is Kaspersky and NOD32

go install norton 360 and u will see ur not goign to win this argument with a computer technician. its a pig, hog and a tank what ever u will call it. and its still not as effective as most alternatives for catching viruses, spyware and worms. half the time norton catches a trojan it can never remove it. and there is the fact it throws in shit that u dont even need half the time. and Norton Internet Security is probably the most useless thing Symantic has ever created. Not worth the resources it takes up. Norton uses about 20x more ram then NOD32 or Kaspersky. and NOD32 and Kaspersky catch more shit dont beleive me ill send your the netsky or sasser worm and u will see norton wont even know its on ur system :wink

Im just trying to help you see that an anti-virus is a good thing...Im not on your $hit I am trying to help you...trying to keep you from getting a virus...But oh well have fun...

Plain and simple guys...Viruses are real and they are only getting rougher...This is not the days of the nice bugs...This is the days of you being robbed without even knowing it...

Take it from someone that knows Identity Theft is a real deal...And it sucks...All it takes is one virus and BAM...Someone has all your bank records and all the info they need to wreck your life...Mine was stolen from a mailbox...But I have seen alot of people become ruined from internet hacking and viruses...
