Detectors are worth it, if you don't drive 80 over while relying on it to stop you from getting a ticket.

Drive reasonably and 99% of the time you'll be able to get away with 5-10 over.

Jammers are illegal, btw.

lol...most of the time i am pulled over anyway is for wreckless driving, burning out, and getting sideways.

I have 4:10s and an aod so i dont do much speeding on the highway...

i have no reason to get a radar detector myself.

Ok, I should have been more specific. Radar Jammers are illegal.

From your link:

Active Radar Jammers:

There is one company that is manufacturing an active radar jammer and Roy's review of this product is available by clicking here.

Although the device was effective at jamming during the testing, several clients have had follow-up conversations with Radar Roy complaining that the unit would fall out of frequency and that they could not obtain support.

Another problem with this active radar jammer is that it is a federal felony to own and/or sell one. The Federal Communications Commission could fine you upwards of $50,000 and you could be imprisoned for up to five years.

Active Laser Jammers:

There are several good active laser jammers that do work very well at jamming police lidar and there are no federal laws prohibiting their use.

However several states that include Nebraska, Minnesota, Utah, California, Oklahoma, Virginia, Colorado, Illinois and Washington DC have passed their own laws prohibiting their use.
I think I'd rather take a ticket then get put in a federal prison and find 50 grand I don't have.

lidar jammers... well you don't see too many cops around here using lidar in the first place so I don't want one.
