a friend is trying to buy my car, what do i do?

basically my best friend is trying to buy my mustang. he is the guy that i am opening the shop with. we have done all the work on the car, and if he ever wants to gets rid of it i have first dibs. look in my garage to see my mods, plus i just ordered a built t45, clutch, quadrant, cable, aviator fuel pump, intake manifold, and tires all in which will be here in the next week or 2. our wives are talking about this, since it is my wifes car. i am thinking around $8,300, but kind of hate to do it, especially after all the work and money i have in it. what do you guys think?

I wouldn't do it unless you can get way more than your car is worth. That thing is your baby, and you know it.

keep it. at least for me ive had some pretty high offers for it, far more than its worth but i always say no. i don't want to be "that guy" who says i did have a car like that.

Yeah I agree keep it, especially since you're going into business with him, if you regret selling him the car it might make things a little tense.

truthfully, i never been a mustang person. i hated them, it was my wife that just had to get another one. i now have a hell of a lot more respect for them after owning one. if i sold it, we would buy a fox. a friend has an 89 lx convertible with a new top, great paint, it will be getting a small block swap and roll cage if i got it. plus i would finish my 85 chevy short wide and would be able to bring my 80 trans am home! both of those are my baby. i know that my mustang has came a long way since the day i took it out on a test drive. plus most everyone around here knows my car and knows how fast it is.

Though seriously think about what you and your wife want. Would you regret selling it? You've put a whole lot of time into it

she is a mustang fanatic, i love my trans am's. the foxes are some bad ass cars, i would loke to have a notch coupe, she want a hatch. her friend is going through a divorce and want to sell her convetible. it has the gt ground effects on it and a new top, other than that it is stock with a 2.3.
