Like I said in another thread, street racing is becomeing a real problem around Orlando. By me it is more understandable, because the closest track is 1.5 hours away. But IMO crushing the car is WAY to extreme.

crushing the car is way to extreme i mean they don't even do that if you kill a mom and her kids while drinking and driving. and btw if you drink and drive i am a firm believer that the arresting cops should be allowed to beat you till your almost dead then arrest.

as DUI is a "risk" of potentially dangerous threats to society, so is street racing. you may get away with it and get home alright, or you may pop over the median and kill a mother and her two kids. you just never know. i think both should be severely punishable crimes with equal consequences.

i am all for crushing cars, high fines, and jail time (if needed)

If a car is crushed can you collevt on the insurance? That would suck especially for people who dont have their cars paid off...

as the state seizes the car as property and crushes at their own expense, no you would not be entitled to any collections. it is a small price to pay for safer streets; and it is well worth it too

you know i'm kinda gonna have to agree with Atlantic, i'm out here in San Bernanrdino co, if you're stupid enough to be street racing and putting others' lives at risk , you don't care about the others on the road so the cops ain't gonna care about your car. the cost of a car doesn't even come close to the hospital bills or deaths that are caused by these ppl every year, i'll admit i've done it in the truck once or twice but i sure as hell ain't doing it in my pride and joy!
