How many miles are you guys getting out of your Nittos

My stock Pirellis are gonna be spent in 5-7k miles, so that will be like 25k. I'm starting to shop around. Also would the speedo be off any with 235/45-17 Nittos all around? And I'm talking about the NT555s.

Not enough to make you get pulled over for doing 23 in a 20

Whats the tread rating for the 555's?? That'll tell ya a lot

Found this on a Miata ( ) forum
May be helpful

Treadwear: The tredwear test is done at a set government specified
facillity. A tire that has a wear rating of 150 will wear 1.5 times longer
than a tire that has a rating of 100, and so on. Note: The actual treadwear
of the tires depends on your driving style; You can make a 150 tire wear as
long as a 300 tire if your favorite day to drive is sunday. Yet in a miata I
doubt this is possiable.

An occasional burnout, hard launches. No track passes. The Pirellis have a 400 wear rating. I think I'll get like 22-23k out of em.

Tires on new cars seem to last about 2/3 what they should at least in my expirence. I say the nittos should last easily 30K

Well I don't let em wear down till cords are showin. I usually go down to the wear bars then burn the rest of em off on the way to the tire shop
