Tire Help...

***DISCLAIMER***you move this and i will gut you like a pig... im only looking for opinions on weather you would do this or not and has no tech value what so ever***

Okay so i went and talked to a dude at the local tire store to get some treads for my bunny... He told me that he could get some rubbers on my car but it wasn't going to be as cheap as i wanted... here are the tires he said he could get

Tires

Now im buying tires for winter use and just to make the bunny work and go... but the website clearly says not the best for winter use or ice driving... would you or would you not get them just cause it says that...

also would walmart cost $60 to install the tires??

I got a lot of thoughts on "weather" Like is it gonn rain. Tires are another story, but "you have to ask me nicely" Jack Wildman Nicholson in a Few Good Men, he speaks foe me cause you can't handle the truth....

OMZ- I had Perrelli on my Rabbit. In my opinion, its not going to matter all that much in snow and ice.

That car was so light that expensive tires are not going to make a big difference. The question is not will it drive better or handle better in the snow and ice.... the question should be-- will it be more predictable? If you have good skills as a driver, you'll get used to how it reacts to steering and throttle inputs in snowy or icey conditions no matter what tire you have on it. Face it, in traffic you gotta slow down and be safe and try to keep your car under control. Rabbits are good for that. Maybe on a big Mustang with all its weight, hp and torque you would need great all weather tires but not in a Rabbit pulling 80 horse and weighing half as much.

I got mine with cheap tires when I was living up North. I bought expensive all weather and it was a waste of money. I'd say get cheap tires that have a decent dry weather rating beacuse thats when you'll really be able to tell. When the weather was shitty, that car was so fun because you can slide it around doin donuts and all kinds of crazy shit. Get that lilttle bitch flying in an empty parking lot then yank up the parking brake and WHEEEEEEEEEEWWWW!!!!! Great snow tires would just ruin that!

Go cheap dude. Cheap as you can find!! Save your $$ for gas er something.

you don't want to go cheaper than kuhmo ecsta's. You really shouldn't down grade the speed rating on your tires. If you pay $50 for tires, they aren't going to last you very long at all. cheap tires on my grandma's prius with my discount cost $250! unless your tires are about to blow, save your money.

True, but a Rabbit doesnt go over 80 mph. Is there a tire that has a speed rating less than that?

As long as you don't drive like a retard, you shouldn't have any problems with cheaper all season/winter tires.

I have ASTs on my car, we'll have to see how they do in the winter.
