What is a 351 modified? a 400m?

i think a 351w modified is a 427 but im not sure im sure you can make a lot of things with a351

No its not a 427 they can be bored to a 427 but are you geting a 351 windsor or cleavland. They are very strong motors at least the windsor is

It is similar to a 400M but is 49 less cubic inches.

my friend has a 66 fairlane with a 351 that is bored and stroked to a 408 i believe. it runs 11.08's, its pretty sick.

My uncle had that exact engine in his superformance shelby cobra. Along with some really high comp. pistons and a nasty cam. It put down around 545rwhp in about a 2,300 lbs car

We are talking about the production 351M engine, not a modified 351......

from what i know the modifyed engine was made for trucks. to trucks it was like the cleavland for the mustangs. it wont spin as many rpms as the cleavland but it does build power. i hope that helps.
