Some questions for a Sound system install, lil trouble

kk im pretty sure it is my amp but i got a few questions b4 i bring it back. could bad wires like REM wire or the power wire make the amp come on but no sound to the subs. or could any of the wires be touching(speaker wires) not make any subs work? Note I Reinstalled All the wireing but the power wire since i only have one of them could it be the power wire? I bought a 1400watt amp wireing kit. but i had to cut the wire to add the fuse holder(the kit said so) could there be a bad cut? or should I just bring the amp back and get a new one? but this amp i got now is only 11 days old and the subs DID work for 20 min and i moved the seat down and they stoped again. The could there be a bad fuse? There not blown but one could be a faulty one

sooooo they were playin then u adjusted ur seat then they stopped???is there any wire whatsoever near the seat u moved??? if so u could have grounded out something, did u check the fuses, i say take the amp back get a new one hook it up and see if it will work if not, save up about 60 bucks and go have a stereo shop install it, can u take pics of everything maybe we can spot a problem, did u adjust anything on the stereo??

its pretty simple
power wire-from battery to amp with inline fuse at teh battery side
ground-from chassis or seat bolt that has been grinded to metal
remote wire-from amp to winshield wiper fuse in fuse box
rca cable-from amp to stereo
speaker wire- from amp to plug on speaker box

if its not grounded or the remote wire hooked up the amp will not turn on at all

have u tried different rca outputs on the cd player???

are u makin sure the speaker wire is positve to positive and negative to negative

turn the adjustments on teh amp all teh way down and start from there

lets start over does the amp light up 1st 2ndif no check power across neg to + and neg to rem with stero onsee what you got sounds to me like you pinched the remote wire that goes up front if its hooked to a fuse change it if it goes to deck your screwed you will have to hook it to fuse

ur ground isn't secure.

mine was loose and when the subs would give enough of a push it would loosen and cut the boom.

My amp would turn on, and stay on cause of the loose connection. For a week i had to make sure it turned off with the car because if it wasn't tight enough it would
