First time racer
Raced for the first time ever last night! It was a lot of fun. It was on a straight road out in the country by my grandparents house. My old roommate came up to visit it me with his '03 lightning. I think the only thing he has done to it is a C&L CAI and a smaller pulley. We raced three times and i beet him twice. The first time we raced from a 60 MPH pull. He honked three times and i dropped it to third. He hung with me for a second, but as soon as i got to fourth i pulled away from him. The second time was from a stop. I launched from 3,000 rpm........
  Don't know what i was thinking on that one. Remember, i've never raced before. I didn't grip 'till third! third race i launched from 1,900 rpm... much better launch. He got me off the line, but i caught him fast and ended up beating him buy a few lenghts. Should i have beat him? or did I just get really lucky? He is a descent driver... He goes to the track every once in a while.

1200 to 1300 from what i have learned as done very good for me very minimal tire spin...
its like getting your first tattoo man your addicted hahaha

Hope he has a custom dyno tune or his motor is gonna be destroyed with a CAI and a smaller pullie!

1 white 2000 1 blue 2003 1 red 1999 the 2000 has a built motor pushing 550 at the wheels.

racing made me realize how much of a noodle my stock shifter is!!! I can't wait 'till i can replace it!
