its mathematical i doesn't matter what position its in to start with a certain sequence will solve it. or i could be wrong but i think thats how it works

yep u are correct! he could slove it the same if he had MSO scrambled it up.

He needs to get a job and a girlfriend.

I dont believe the sequence is mathmatics that could be equated in a split second by a human. Its memorization of the pattern. Yes, technically, a pattern is mathmatics but the variables are too great if you are truely "randomly" mixing up the cubes.

If you had a mixed up cube there is no pattern you could do to make all the colors the same on all sides again that would work everytime.

If that were true, there would be people solving these things in the dark.

it's been said that children can solve those a lot quicker the adults can.

it's all about simplicity and kids are good at that.

what needed explanation? no matter what order the cube is in a certain sequence of moves will always solve it.

On PBS they had this "savant" guy that was killer with a rubix. Too bad he was seriously deathly afraid of anything with a zipper.

True. But its never the same sequence.
You cant say, left -right-up-up right-right down will solve any mixed up cube everytime.
