What is brighter? Xenon or HID Halogen headlamp bulbs?

which ones are brighter i have xenon right now and one of my bulbs went totally dim

xenon was expensive as hell but the replacement bulbs are not too much money maybe 40 but i might want HID instead

help?

HID will probably end up costing you 250-300 for the kit because you need ballasts to handle them.

I would guess that the brightness of the HID depends on the bulb, 6000k, 8000k, 12000k, etc.

I don't think that the temp of the buld has to do with the amount of light the bulb produces, it just makes the light a bluer, purplish color. I would go with a 6000k or 8000k.

2 yrs ago I bought a HID kit for $360, I just bought another kit of ebay for 95 dollars(buy it now) with bulbs and ballasts, shipped too. Ive had the $95 ones on for 3 months, and no problems.
