Lightning

Well I am thinking of selling the stang for a lightning. Anyone with some input on what they think? It would be a newer lightning with the supercharger.

Let me be the black sheep.... I like the lightnings and they can put out more power than our GT. Stock they put somewhere around 280+ to the wheels and with that 5.4 they are a great platform to work with. It is a different breed thou... It's a pick up.

Having said all that, taking into account that they are discontinued and new designs are out, I would keep the Stang.

280 to the wheels? I thought they were rated at 385 to the crank?

Id much rather have a boosted stang - it be fast and more comfotable. Plus some of the model years of th lightening have the cursed problem of spitting spark plugs that Ford wont own up to. Other than that, they are bad az trucks and Ive always wanted one. Ive driven them tho and they really dont feel very fast stock.

There is a red Lightning around here that is fully modded with a big bore KB full exhaust and a pulley change to name a few. That thing hauls ass. I personally saw it run down a Termi even though he spun on the launch.
