ok let me explain.. i had a fracture 2 years ago.. and went to almost half year of therapy.. so the therapy did me well it fixed this clickin sound i had on my ankle every time i walk.. so now I'm recovering from this sprain and the clicking is back and its painful.. I'm afraid of even walking or moving the feet.. I feel like something popping to its place or out of it idk... like what should i do? I got a appointment on Wednesday with the orthopedic (or w.e its called)...

also since 1 year ago my shoulder started clicking i didn't put any attention so i continued to weight lift... this has stop me from doing any more weight lifting and i had to lower my reps and weight. I'm on a basketball team and i'm in good shape I don't want to lose that I got a team counting on me and I train hard I don't want to lose all the work I have put to be where I am right now.

Can some one help me plz..

k.. gonna wait till Wednesday then.. my dad is a bitch... i've been telling him to get me to the Doc's all he say is "your appointment is in 1 week" ... if he could just feel the freaking pain... its like if some1 grabs u from the inside out.. idk how to describe it besides painful

take Motrin and make sure to take it with milk or food.

don't exceed 2400 milligrams a day though.

the doc gave me something i dont remember the name but i dont like em they make me sleepy and well get high.. since i'm at school that SUX

it's also known as ibuprofen.

and it won't make you sleepy

El- He probably gave you a narcotic pain killer. Painkillers are great to get you by until you can see your doctor but you need to get a surgical recommendation or start therapy depending on what the issue is. HMUSN gives awesome advice with the motrin. Motrin is just Ibuprofin. Yes, you can buy it at CVS or anywhere. It has anti inflamitory properties and will help with the pain. You may want to try a heating pad or cold packs too.

They should want to do some xrays and maybe a ct scan of the joints that are bothering you. Dont worry, there is no pain with either test and they will be able to see the problem. Hopefully you can get better with a little therapy and rest.

Also, take the painkillers over the next couple days even if you DONT hurt. Sounds like you gotta a mess there and sometimes pain medication doesnt work as well once the pain gets bad. Take the prescription you have as directed. If you can't handle taking them before school, take them right when you get home. If anything, it may help you sleep some of it off.

One more thing- If the pain gets too bad, dont listen to your dad. Drive yourself to an ER so they can give you something better for the pain.

Clicking is usually either a bone chip or a tendon/ligament issue. Hopefully it won't take much to get you back to 110%! gluck!

bone clicking can mean MANY things :wink

it's not the bone clicking in this case though.

I bet its a tendon slipping over a bone because it has to go out of its way to ovoid scar tissue.

My body clicks in many olaces and I can move my right hand finger's tendons from side to side over my knuckles

I had a broken thumb right above the knuckle that dislocated and i got a bone spur that got ripped out and reattached all crazy well needless to say my thumb don't move the same. still hurts on those cold days. . . Mneh, good luck Cangri hope you get yourself fixed up proper.

same here...

and my mom says its normal cause of growth.... fuck it hurts everytime it clicks... could some1 like have a link so she can read and like open her eyes about this clicking she thinks its normal...

cause i know some times the body can like click.. like normal at least i get some clicks once a month or something. but this ankle click is like 7 out of 10 steps i make.

ohh and i'm getting the motrin you suggested and my mom said "no" to the painkillers cause she says about too many side effects (besides being high)

and tommorow @ the doc wasting time.. gotta get there like at 6 a.m cuz last time i went at 10 a.m and i made number 29 wich totaly sux! (why doctors start to advance when they are almost closing?)

I will need 1-2 months of therapy he told me to come in another month to check the progress. Also he told me the ankle is still inflated but it looks 10 times better than 2 weeks ago..

still hurts.. I'm taking Advil for it
