I was removing my front struts and springs on my DD yesterday. I set on strut/spring on the table behind a vice mounted on the table SO IT WOULDN’T FALL. Well I was on the phone standing next to the table and all of a sudden I see it rolling off the table. So I jump out of the way but my hand didn’t make it fast enough! At first I didn’t know anything had happened other then it hit the floor. But then I felt a warm wetness on my hand. I look at it and it is Stream of red shooting out of the top of my hand. I’m not sure what exactly got me. I am thinking it was the main mounting bolt. But the end result was a Tor apart Artery and a 2 inch long gash about 1/4 inches wide on my hand. took about a total of 7 stitches (not inculding the few they used to part my artery back together). So with my basement looking like a murder scene I then found out a way to get hold of someone to take me to the ER. When pulling in the parking lot with my hand in a bag to contain the Red liquid gushing from my hand.

RANT ON: On the way to the hospital (Bay Park). My mother is a nurse and can take alot of stuff. But she kind of freaks out when stuff happens to her own children . Anyways...My mother pulls off our street in a hurry. I always pay attention when other people are driving. Well I'm assuming this guy in a satun must have thought my mother pulled out in front of him when she had plenty of room! He then passed her in a no passing lane, slammed on his breaks. I was like WTF ? Then we got to a two lane area and my mom begins to pass him in another lane because the bleeding was not getting better. So he Steps on it and get in front and does it again. I am so PISSED at this point. We pulled up to a red light. We where in the Left hand lane. ASS HOLE somehow ended up back in the Right hand lane behind a po po. it was only us 3 at the light (me, po po, and ASS HOLE). He looked over and laughed at me and my mom. I was so pissed at this point I stick my head out the window along with my hands in a bag to shout at the ungrateful mother fucker. I don’t remember this but I must have let off pressure of my hand during my lash out at this man. The bag just completely filled up with red Stuff! And the guy had this sorry ass look on his face. Like "DAMN I FUCKED UP"! I wish I could have punched him in the fucking face. It was bad enough my hand was turning blue due to lack of blood flow....let alone some ass hole trying to be and ASS! The mean time the Po po was just watching like he didn’t want to get involved! RANT OFF!

he went to grab it but missed and the bolt on it cut his finger.

No i was trying to get away from it. I knew it was going to fall.....So i was facing the table. Saw it start to roll. and Jumped backwards....I also swung my hands up and out of the way. While i swung my hands up the TOP of my left hand got stabed by a bolt and then tore it downward leaving me with a 2 1/2 inch gash exposing my insides of my hand! Also Riping an Artary! BLOOD WAS SPRAYING FROM the top of my hand! Wrist to knuke

I am just happy i didnt pass out. I am a tough guy and all and deal with pain really well. I can see some nasty shit too....But just not on myself! I prefer not to see it. Well I was by myself so i kinda had to look at it at first!

NO NERVE DAMAGE FTW! That was really the only thing i was worried about!

i remember grinding some metal and slipping and spearing my forearm, i know what u mean about preferring not to see your own blood lol

COMPRESSION is your friend.

never take a bandage off if it gets filled with blood either.

add another on top of it.

to check for circulation (so your shit doesn't fall off) grab your finger tip and let go.
if it turns pink again in under 3 seconds your good.

if not, loosen the bandage a bit.

Yea.....My mom is a full time nurse. I have been throught all the Frist aid training years ago! I did everything I was suposed to... I just couldn't drive myself to the ER. Didnt want to have red all over the STANG! Also Dont forget it will help to keep the injury elevated above the heart. This will Also help slow/stop the bleeding!
