Death in the family

I just got rearemded in my car. I don't think I will be able to make the meet unless my car can get in quick and get out. But you know how things are with insurance companies and body shops. Guy hit me at about 50mph I was at a red light. The bumper, exhaust, frame, and gas tank were hit. My exhaust is pointed down like the old fox body GTs were if they had pipes out the back. This sucks I have to go to the Dr tomorrow morning. The bitch of it was I was on my way to the Ford dealer to see about trading my car in on an 05 GT. The car was sweet DSG with black stripes, 17" chrome cobra r's and borla exhaust. Well, back to the drawling board.

OH man!! That sucks! You can still come with out your stang. They should give you a rental on the insurances behalf until your car is fixed. Let us know what happens!

I don't know if it is totaled. If the frame is bent I think they will total it. The steel piece that is behind your bumper that attaches to the frame is broke in one spot and damaged pretty bad. The gas tank was hit and bent that a little bit. I'm gonna try to get a rental tomorrow. I might still come this may be a quick ordeal and I can come with a 05 GT.

yea my frame was bent outta shape pretty good in my truck... got rear-ended by an explorer and they didnt total it, the damage for everything was worth alot more than trade-in value on the truck too

sorry to hear that man. im glad you here to tell us about it tho. i remember when i totaled my 00 GT. that was pretty scary so i know how you feel. i dint even hit the telephone pole that hard and it crushed the front end. i walked out with just a burn on my hand from the air bag which wasnt bad at all but the scary part was sliding on the ice heading torwards the telephone pole and know your gonna hit it and just waiting to find out whats gonna happen. but anyway im glad your ok.

Thanks everyone. I didn't even see him coming I just heard squealing tires and then I was in the middle of the intersection. Happens so fast you don't even have time to react. I was thinking maybe if I saw him coming I could have gunned it and maybe got out of the way but I doubt it.

im REALLY observative on the road.. I watch everything and everyone. I dont want my babies getting hurt.. If I noticed someone coming up quickly, I press my gas pedal twice so they see me.. BEIEVE ME, that has helped me out of a few accidents.

I'm usually always looking because I use to have a motorcycle. But for some reason I wasn't looking this time. Thinking about the car I was maybe gonna get. My back and neck are really stiff. This sucks.

I watch for everything because I was a truck driver for 2 years. I did not want to kill anyone. Hope your neck feels better. If you want, I will keep My eyes open for a mustang for you. I know this used car dealer that sells cars at a great price.

That really sucks man. Hope everything works out. Don't let them "fix" a car with damage to the unibody/chasis because it'll just get worse over time and it'll never be the same.

I hate the car dealers in Florida. I jjst went and looked at a used 05 GT with 10K on it and they want $29,000 for the thing. The 06 GT are only $27,000. I also looked at a 04 Mach with 17K on it and they want $27,900 for that. These guys are crazy down here.
