its pretty cool it has internet and everything and i bet if you converted your 22GB of music to 128kbps AAC (which is same quality as 192kbps MP3) you will be able to fit all of your music on it and even more.

oh and and it even has bluetooth because she had wireless headphones for it which looked really tacky but its a cool concept maybe they have ear bud versions of them also

oh oh and and the thing was amazingly thin i honestly even after seeing the commcercials did not think it would be that thin
do you know of any good programs to MASS convert them from MP3 192 to AAC 128kb?

haha yeah i bought i my 30gb IPOD video (5th gen) for $300 the DAY before they released the 5.5 gen that had searching, a brighter screen, and a bunch of other stuff for only 250. Fortunately the one they gave me was like a little scratched up, so i went into return it, and they were like well theres a 10% stocking fee, but now its 250, so here's 20 dollars and a new one hahah.

I converted 1000 songs to AAC 128KBs with iTunes in about 4 hours

they were all mp3 with variable bit rates
sweet i never noticed that feature.. is there ANY disadvantage to converting them?

Re-encoding a already encoded song will cause you to lose even more sound quality than encoding from the origina disk.

and besides, MP3 is better, he option to create MP3 Disks or the fact that MP3 works with all players.

quality is going to sound EXACTLY the same you won't notice a difference AAC encodes songs a lot better

inless you have some kind of $1,000 dollar stereo system....

try a couple songs for yourself right now in itunes and see if you notice a difference i bet you that you most l likely will not especially in headphones

I never understood why people spend this kind of money... you can put more songs on CDS then you ever can on an Ipod..

if you have a stereo that will play mp3's straight from a cd then this is true

700mb a cd buy a pack of 50 and your set

but most people don't even realize there stereos can play mp3 cd's without having to be burned and encoded on the disc

Having 50 disk and having to change them constantly just to look for that one song when you can create a playling on the ipod of the songs you want to listen @ the moment kinda favors having a iPod

700MB per cd OR 80 minutes.

80 minutes is like 18 or so songs.

you cannot fit 700MB of music on a normal cd that will work on a normal cd player.

They're talking about MP3 radios.

Ipod is still better, they don't scratch or skip, they fit in your pocket and you can listen to 'em anywhere and you have 8K songs in your hand and a few videos too

it doesn't matter whether or not you can get 700 or not.. its still going to be cheaper in the long run... ive burned over 100 cd's and i guarantee i haven't even spent near the ridiculous prices they charge for the gadgets. yeah they may be nice to have, but shit they're not worth it..

a data cd can hold alot more than 18 songs. you gotta burn the mp3's to a cd in data format. and your cd player has to be able to read mp3's. i did it about a week ago and i think it held about 60 songs and wasnt full

yeah i never bought special MP3 cds, but i guess they store by file size and not minutes.

I never looked into it, ipod is a million times more convenient.. i dont wanna have to skip through 100 songs anyways just to find one, i can browse and make playlists and stuff.
