hey guys i always hear about points off your license..

just wondering..

About how much money would 1 point on my license up my insurance (currently like 117/month with comprehensive, i have NO infractions and a completely clean record)? <-- i know thats probably impossible for you to answer.. but maybe just give me examples of how much yours have gone up

How many points are u given for each violation (and what violations are more/less)?

Does it change anything besides your insurance rates?

Is there a limit.. like 10 pts and u lose your license?

6 points before my licence gets taken until im 18 then i get 12.

depends on the infraction the number of points:

i.e. Racing = 12
i.e. Careless Driving = 4
Wreckless Driving = 8
no turn signals = 2
It goes on and on!

Turn signals is 2... Wow... no one here uses turn signals... I use em though, but I'm ussualu barreling down the streets... don't want 2 infractions when I can avoid one at least

varies state to state on points. go to the dmv and ask for some info on it. sometimes if your lucky your ins wont go up. they dont always check and dont tell them either

what is speeding? like 2 pts?

haha and @ lulu i ALWAYS use my turn signals... i did it one time when i was doing 120 hahahah

1-9 mph is 1 point
10-19 mph is 2 points
20-39 mph is 4 points
40+ mph is 6 points at least where i liv

so how much is the difference between getting 1pt off and 6pts off.. how bad would my insurance be?

i got 1 point for "spinning tires" and an
$80 dollar fine....i was doin donuts at an intersection on a back country road that no one ever goes on...except the one time that trooper was there...he actually cut me a break w/ the ticket could of been worse

i hate when ppl wait until they're slowed down and right about to turn their steering wheel to turn on their turn signal on

its quite evident you're turning at that point, there's really no point to turn ur signal on.

damn thats a fuckin nice cop.. the one time i got caught spinning tires the ticket was $1076. i took off from a stop sign and spun the tires not even enough to put a black mark on the pavement.

getting points off either takes 2yrs or a payoff or contract by lawyer. i have 3 points and my insurance doubled (19 yr old male)
