I got an idea why dont you put your 400 bucks into a nice short throw shifter. It will last you alot longer. When the PS3 and Xbox are no longer top of the line you will still have a short shifter

yea a short shifter would be good unless he already has one. But
since he is taking about gaming systems, I would recommed the
360. The PS3 does have better graphics, but the 360 has better
games and a better online gaming.

what good is gran turismo if you cant modify anything visually on the car.
i hate gran turismo for that. forza is better than gt will ever be

need for speed, it lets you modify lots of stuff. And the new one you're supposed to be able to modify like everything!

GT is soo good cause its soo thought out. If you race at any given track, and class, the AI's 1st place lap times are an average of the real life 1st place times of that class at that track. Also if you look up things like the spring rates of real life cars they will be the optimum settings in the game.

I promise no other game pays as much attention to detail like the GT series. You just cant put 26" rims on your formula 1 car.

mustangs and camaros and corvettes dont sound the same as a mazda 626 in real life. but in gt they do.
