I allways thought the meaning of life was uncertanty. If there was no life in the universe, and every last atom inside the entire universe was accounted for, it would be mathmatically possible to predict everything that would happen. Now you throw life into the picture, and no matter what the life will have the ability to change the outcome, large or small.
