i think it's fuckin crazy how you can stroke that thing to a 521

what kind of numbers would you be putting down around that level?

i can't find any media on it either, anyone got any links/info?

The 460 is no different than other motors, MSO, in terms of power numbers are dependant on how the engine is tuned, what compression ratio you run, and what cam profile you run.

With the big strokers like that, however, 500 horse is easy on a mild cam profile, average compression ratio, and mild tune. There really is no replacement for displacement.

should easily make 700hp if it has good compression, cam, heads, ect...

My friend has a 460 in his old F-150 with 4 on the floor, it's a hoss and sounds really mean!

It depends on the heads/cam/intake and the compression ratio. A motor that big should make 700+hp

460's are no joke. our 72 lincoln had over 450 torque stock, and 360 hp stock. thats a 72 lincoln. throw a medium cam, intake, carb and some exhaust work and you'll be seeing 500 horsepower no problem. just think of a twin turbo 460..

521? That is a small stroker. 460s can go 557+. Alot of 69 and 70 385 series blocks can go 4.500 on the bore which will produce 572 cubic inches.
