it's not even a muscle car anymore..

it's a super car. not even in the same class.

sure you can go from 0-60 in 3 seconds.
but you will be sipping a latte the entire time because you won't feel shit.

You all need to look at the big picture this is not like a mustang or camaro. The shelby KR and other high model mustangs are not very affordable either. This is the top level vette there will be the 430 hp base model for under 45,000 the mid level Z06 or equivalent for 75,000 or so and then the ZR1 will be top dog. This is no different then the GT, Cobra, Shelby levels of mustangs. These vettes are not made to compete with our lowly cars they are made to compete with lambo's ferrari's and other super cars and exotics with that in mind they will probably be 150,000 or more cheaper than their competition.

yeah, the current z06 can go 0-60 in 3.5 and you literally cant feel shit.. if you closed your eyes, you'd never even know you were moving.. those cars are unbelievable stable feeling at high speeds

oh, and i also read that the new vette ZR1, blue devil, ss, stingray, or Z07 (whichever name they deicde on) wiwill all have automatic transmissions since no GM manual transmission is strong enough for al that power

gm used the same tranny in the 03/04 cobra, vipers, and basically any other six speed car

Your right also I forgot to mention the GT40 that completes the comparison as far as the classes go between the two.

They said the new name will be ZR1. They also said the Stingray name will not make a comeback because that moniker was about the body style of the car and nothing to do with the model itself.

Bro the Z06 has an N/A 7.0 500hp motor in it. Thats muscle at its finest. Technology has changed the definition of what a "muscle car" is.

Its still a "blue collar" exotic. Especially with a lightweight base model making 400 hp n/a.
