Meh, Coast Guard is DOT not DOD unless we are at war...lol totatly joking....think i'd rather deal with the war in the middle east vs the war on drugs/search and rescue. Y'all are definatly judged way wrong...your opstempo is insane! The Coast Guard has some bad ass toys!!! Take the Dolphin for example...that thing can hover by itself 50 feet off the ground!!!!

the Coast Guard is DHS not DOT lol. and yeah we do have some bad ass toys.. the Dolphin and the Stingray... gotta love our HITRON teams. and yeah Squid (HMUSN) we all can jeer each branch of service from time to time, but i would do the same for my fellow military member, whether he/she be sailor, airman, soldier, or marine.

OH RIGHT CG is DHS now...err well it has been for a long time...totally forgot that it is!!!! Well damn it when i was thinking about joining the CG, it was under DOT!!!! lol

Def agree with ya HMUSN, we all can make our jokes...like the chair force, they ride a bike for their pt test (we dont anymore ) Thing i have a problem with is when people get into fights over which branch is better...every branch has its own lifestyle

wait e-5 in under 3 years?????????? The absolute earliest you can get e-5 in the af is just under 4 years...e-6 on average takes 14 years...rank is very slow with us

haha yeah. i can make E-6 in under 4, which is my plan (but i dont know if ill get it). im shooting for late 08 or sometime 09 to make e-6 (if i havent gotten into OCS yet)
