Opinions Please

I have a 351 Cleavland 4V full motor out of a 71 Mercury cougar 4 speed car in my garage. It runs and everything. These motors had 300HP stock from ford.

My question is. Should I spend money and mod my motor or rebuild the 351 just so its reliable and put that in the car. I have long tube hookers for it and everything. 780 Holley carb. Could I use my T-5 with it too.

those were bad ass motors. especially around circle jerkers. you ever heard of the pantera? that thing probably expensive as hell to build into high performance

i have heard of panteras they are bad ass and someday I will track one down and buy one.

Im not worried about performance. I sould swap this in and be done. The inakte and heads will be ported. So a little over 300 HP is were it will be

MSO I cant get pictures im in Indy and the enigine is in Michigan. I will get some Thanksgiving weekend thats the next time I go home

the 2v 351c was rated at 280hp at 2700rpm, so i'd expect it to be quite a bit over 300hp

Slow revving not really. They are beasts of motors.

i personally dont like 351C's, they are hard to find parts for i would much rather have a 351W. but if you have it already and its in good shape it will be better than your 5.0 thats for sure

Yep i already has it and it runs. Just needs a new fuel pump
