I decided to post this up so there wont be anymore thread hijackings by us military people and people asking us military-related questions.

Got a question about a branch of service?
Wanting to joing a service?
Got some stories you want to share with fellow armed forces members past and present?
I say we keep this thread up and going (maybe a sticky?) so we can help out anyone with questions or anything military related.

im delay enlisting
i was told that if i enlist for 6 years i enter in as a E-3

make sure you have that in writing. if you have it in writing that you will be an e-3 upon entry then you will be. if i would have signed up for 6 years i would be an e-6 by now... or in the next few months anyways

i dont know about going in as an E3 but u would get E3 rank quicker if u sign up for 6 yrs. thats what i did and i got E3 rank a lil before the end of tech school.

i had the option of signing up for 6 years going in as an e-3. i turned it down to sign for 4 years as an e-2. ill hit my 3 year mark in JAN and im an e-5 already
