Between belly button and and ribcage. Im guessing stomach acid. A couple of tums may not be enough. If you have damage to your stomach lining, you need something that will shut acid production down for a few days while you heal. Stick to a diet that is easy on your digestion. Eat smaller meals more often.

Tums will nuetralize acid that is present in the stomach. I does NOT stop production. As soon as a Tums moves into the small intestine, its not helping you any more. Try Pepcid. But you need to have FAITH! Give it a few days to work. The lining needs time to heal and rebuild. It isnt going to stop with one pill.

If this is the problem, you need to take an acid blocker everyday.

Its so common anymore. Thank God I figured mine out years ago. I ended up in the ER twice and wanted to die from the intense pain. Same kind of symtoms. I take Acifex daily and have no problems at all now... unless I forget to take it.

The human body is the ultimate cool ass machine. I wish I could give my Mustang a pill and the brake pads would rebuild themselves.

Taking pills to cover up symptoms (like tums, nexium, prilosec, ect.) is stupid. You need your stomach acid to digest your food completly or it will just lead to more problems.

Just fix your diet. Are you eating a good amount of vegetables and fruit everyday...? If not, this is why. Look at this chart and eat the alkaline food section Alkaline and Acidic Food Charts This should help your problem if not fix it.

Oh yea, don't believe Nexium repairs your stomach and eshophagus

yea, I have to try to resist from laughing when people complain about there stomachs hurting when they eat nothing but fastfood, pizza, high yeast foods, ect.

And the medical field comes up with a drug to make money off of. Ever notice how whenever you see a rich person, one of the first things that comes to your mind is "he must be a doctor..."

Wow! OK, Im the first one saying to watch your diet and create a diary to help determine mild issues with digestion. However, modern medicine is not ALL evil. There are more good medications than bad and there are certainly more good intentions in the medical field than evil ones. I will agree that pharm companies are about profit but in most cases, that makes the medical products BETTER! The FDA tests the shit out of stuff for years before it can be released. We only hear about the cases where something slipped by or when there was some kind of corruption. There are thousands of medications that help people and the quality of their lives tremendously.

also... you can have a perfect diet and still have acid problems. in alot of cases, diet can solve alot. But in some cases diet wont help. when that happens, modern science is a life saver. There is nothing wrong with using technology to better your life. Sometimes a "pill" is the only answer.

Some people are genetically prone to having stomach issues. Nexium and other acid blocking medications DONT heal your stomach and esophogus.... your body heals ITSELF because the pills block acid production allowing the lining to heal.
