Buying Parts

Well I'm stuck at work waiting for a jet to be refueled so i can go home and was just wondering how everyone pays for there aftermarket parts. I mean do you guys save for it then buy it, bring out the ole CC and charge it, or what. I'm sitting here and I just want to reach into my back pocket, grab my wallet and buy me a full exhaust set up as my first mod. I got the mod fever itch really bad.... just like a junkie..... HELP!! Don"t know what to do

what little money I get from birthday and xmas... I rarely buy stuff, so I have cash most of the time... I also have 2.6 grand in the bank just collecting interests... and I earned 600 bucks in stocks.

The hurst is ugly... and it doesn't give me the option of 15% - 50% throw reduction. ( I use mine at about 25%-30% reduction)

luis likes to fight.. he's hard headed lol

i save up THEN buy parts.. i'd NEVER take out a loan or anything.. i've got the mod fever (even though i haven't done any mods yet lol) but i still have enough willpower to harness my need for speed until i have the money on hand.. its fun to go fast, but it's not worth getting yourself in debt over

I know... Bwal is trying to convince me to build a Factory Five rather than a Super 7... and he's failing miserably.

i'm not trying to convince you.. i'm just trying to give you facts so you can make a more educated decision.. do whatever you want, but like i said, i wouldn't trust any book that says you can build a caterham for $250 lol

You can't... unless you live in the UK and can find a used Escort MK1 for 75 pounds to take the drivetrain (the book is british) which is impossible in this day and age.

I try and save here and there, or I use plastic, but I don't put large items on the credit cards. I also have a savings bond I I use, and I put 60 bucks a week in that. When I'm ready, I cash out the no-penalty bond, and a check lands in my mailbox in about 5 business days. It's not hard to save 6 or 7 hundred bucks with that for parts.
