I had a strange day.
I'll keep my story short.
I think the story of those kids beating up another and stealing their car parts and clothes was just disgusting. The local news tonight sucked too with alot of problems and negativity. The economy has been tough and alot of families are forclosing on their homes just in time for the holidays.
If it be for Karma, religion or whatever.... find your own reason.
Do something decent for someone tomorrow. There's alot of people who cant even have a nice Thanksgiving without some help from strangers. Now I'm not suggesting to go out and do anything that will change the world. But maybe something small. Its the little things that can make a difference in somebodys day.Hold a door for someone. Say good morning to someone you dont know.
Go out upon your day tomorrow and just be decent and know it will have an impact on someone.

Sorry Matt, being enlightened has nothing to do with it. Its only an observation. And I did not say I have been mean to people my whole life and just figured this out today. I just think its important for people to remember or make a consious effort to be decent.

I have to disagree with the grand scheme you speak of. I believe everything we do has a consequence. Even the smallest "good" thing.

to me its kinda like your saying you got it better so feel sorry for those that dont have it as good as you.

i dont feel sorry for anybody.(they are exceptions like children getting murdered and etc) people make their own choices good or bad they made them and its just the way the chips fall after that.

the wording just rubs me the wrong way. i know you dont mean it too and your trying to do a civic thing, but it seems to me you feel guilty for having a good life and that bugs me when people do that...

i apologize ahead of time i dont mean to offend you. but the wording offends me and its just my opinion anyway that shouldnt matter to you.

When my day sucks, it doesnt make the news. Nor does the stranger that stops and helps me change my flat tire. Its not everyday you have the opportunity to do something "heroic" like help change a tire. But how do you not know that just maybe holding the door and smiling at someone won't be the best thing that happened to them in that day? Hell, maybe they are a loan officer and give someone an extra day on their mortgage because someone was nice to them. Who knows right?

dude, you cant offend me. Its perfectly fine. Just know that I dont think I have it better than anyone. Its not about that at all. Its just about being nice. I'd hold the door for a rich person. I'd help them change a tire. Social class doesnt make a difference to me at all.

I think this is part of the probelm. Your reading into it too much and becoming defensive. There's nothing wrong with sharing the idea of being a good person or making a consious effort to be better.

Seriously, its not about feeling bad for anyone.
