That's fucked up. I almost don't know what to say anymore about the government....not just in the states, but anywhere in the world.

How is it that every single person you talk to is disgusted with something like this, but yet the administration gets away with it?

Dude, I kind of had the same thing going on, so I'm glad its not just me. Everyone here knows how I can whip up long extensive essay-like diatribe's at any given moment.....but when I read that article, my brain was like....I don't know, how much more stupid, revolting, offensive, repulsive bullshit can you read? What the fuck? These men are fighting for out freedom, and DYING for it, and then you read that....it's beyond comprehension. It really is.

Wow, just wow. That is beyond belief. I'm done with that idiot we call a president. He is taking money from heroes who no longer have legs because of him just to cover his ass. Unbelieveable.

Fucking makes me want to spit every time I read that article. The government is a disgrace to all men and women who gave their lives for what we have today. They all deserve to be impeached, and disgraced to the fullest extent. Politicians of today are nothing more than two faced power hungry media whores, who are told what to do and say by professional advisers. They could care less about what the people need and want, let alone about hardcore world-altering actions and policies.

The question is, how do we as citizens change what is happening before our very eyes? Because I'm here to tell you voting ain't cutting it.

Shit,if something is bad enough to make ZIP spit....you know its bad......

ZIP,you would fit in well here in the States bro, you have the same attitude we do (most of us). Its fucked up because a lot of the world has a bad view of Americans because they think we all support Bush. When in reality the vast majority despises him and are embarrassed by him.

And here is just ONE MORE reason that fuels that anger and frustration with this administration.

True that. It's very sad to me that a lot of Canadians do view Americans in a bad light, because first of all, a lot of Canucks gave their lives fighting for freedom in the big wars, and how dare we forget what that means. And I don't understand how, even if you don't know all those historical facts, that you can't decipher what true evil really is, and how it should be dealt with? And how can you not separate either a negative or positive aspect of a President from the actual American people? If you can't do that, then IMO, you don't even deserve to be allowed in on this debate, and you should go turn in your freedom card at the nearest totalitarian head office.

But then I'm funny that way.

Citizens today dont stand up for anything longer then the show they are watching. Another words ,if they are outraged by something on t.v. they are over it as soon as they start watching something else.

We are overwhelmed with news and opinions to the point that people cat focus or pay attention. Our attention span has shortened, and our tolerance has grown. Thats a recipe for moral and principle decent, willing or not.

We have given up our voice AND vote in hopes of getting the latest iPod. Our troops are fighting for our right to shop, get fat and gossip about the latest celebrity DUI conviction. There was a time when people would sacrifice for the sake of the country, the troops and their ideals.

Those days are long gone. If a protest or outcry requires any effort beyond using a computer monitor and keyboard, then people are not interested......hey guys I gotta run.......Law and Order just came on.

I'd like to lmao if this weren't so sadly true. How often, Fryrice, do you shake your head at someone saying "That post is too long to read", even if it's a silly post. The lack of attention span is indeed truly frightening. People need to have the ability to sink their teeth in to something.....but jesus christ, many people can't even seem to remember what 9/11 was truly like.

It's a frightening thing to realize, that if the right speaker comes along with the right charisma, that we could wind up with a Stalin, Lenin, or Hitler in power one day. Because the sheep will be easily mesmerized by an impressive speaker after having had so many inept leaders at the helm for so many years. People won't truly know what character and morals are in a leader.

Look in all honesty, I bet for 30k there are people that enlist, then get intentionally injured. Kinda like disability abuse. The gov. isn't cutting all bonuses for all injured enlistees, and they arn't making them repay bonuses.

" I bet" is hardly a solid foundation for a fact finding debate or decision.

seems like you go around like your the all knowing fact finder and you know more than somebody because you type like your writing for your comp class

Wow, me and my girl have been having that exact discussion the past couple of weeks. It started when we were watching a documentary about World Wars etc. and they showed the horrors of the genocide that Hitler perpetrated . We kept saying to each other " just imagine if Hitler would have used his amazing ability for good".

Lets face it......like it or not Hitler was an extraordinary "leader" and one of the greatest "salesmen" the world has ever seen. For a single individual to be able and convince/brainwash the masses the way he did into believing they were somehow superior to an "inferior" race ,and also pacify them against the atrocities he ordered is unbelievable.

ALSO- Yeah your right about the longs posts and attention span. What do we stand for anymore ? People will rob each other for a Playstation 3 at Christmas time, but yet they wont march on Washington and demand the Presidents head on a stick.

9/11 is pretty tricky though, because every American remembers exactly where they were that day. Im in Virginia and so is the Pentagon. For me and Virginia residents,it was heartbreaking and stunning.Same for the World Trade Center. Sometimes it still feels like a dream.
