The car is cool but the guy is shady. It has a 2004 chassis certification. The guys says its certified to run 7.50. It is not, it "was" certified to go 7.50. That cage would only certify to 8.50 today due to the updated SFI requirements. He also has high claims of what the car "should" run and not what it does run. Things like this make me real nervous. Looks cool though.

I would always be nervous about buying another guys project unless I know the car really well and have seen it in person. Besides, with cars of this category, isn't it more fun to build it yourself? Isn't that supposed to be what it's all about if you go to that level? Who wants to buy an already done car and just trailer it to the track and back. To me the fun would be in building it and knowing every nut and bolt on my car.

That sticker hasn't been removed. You can tell when they are peeled off. They are designed that way. Back before 2004 that is all the roll cage you needed to go 7.50. Around that time they grandfathered in cages that were built within a year or so of the date that they made the change. This is one of those cars. Its missing a ton of bars to certify to 7.50 with todays standards. The entire cage would have to be cut out and redone.
