Honest Opinions

Ok so here's the deal i'm lookin at geting rid of the truck once and for all. I cant be forkin out 70 bux for a full tank (min) and only be getting 17 MPG Hiway so i'm lookin at getting a volvo S60 turbo or non turbo i have currently both options. They are averaging 22 City and 31 or so Hiway. One's 17,9xx for the turbo and the other is 19,xxx for a non turbo. I need to know what you guys may know, the maintenance, reliability, and what not on these cars. I like em but the 17K one is a good two hour drive away.

OK that's what i was leaning towards but my question then becomes how long to the turbos typically last?

turbos can actually last longer becuase the motors are built stronger... but there are more moving parts so maintenance on a high mileage vehicle could cause a problem but hey its a volvo! those things last forever and are tanks in the form of a car

turbos can get worn out over time.... but not as fast as 100,000 miles.

Volvo makes large turbo diesels for semi trucks and they can run close to a million miles. only last to 100,000 miles for a volvo is a joke.

My dad had one way back, good car. Just ugly

those diesel turbos are crazy.. i saw a setup in car craft magazine of a tractor trailer with 6 turbochargers turning 11 sec. 1/4 mile times

I figured that but it's a good quality car with great gas milegae, esp since i put over 40k on my truck in less than two years. . . the gas man, the gas!

My uncle has an s80 and I actually love the way it drives. He hasn't had any problems on it either. So not a bad pic
