WiFi Card Pissing Me Off
I just reformatted two laptops yesterday, and my Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100 has an internal WiFi Card. Well downloaded the Atheros Client for it, but it wont turn on. It's actin as if there is no power to card, and I just want to use the damn internet on the thing. Help! Please!

...i feel stupid. I realized I only downloaded the client. I just removed the client. I got the driver and client now. See if that works this time.

ok new problem. i have it up and running. my problem is each time i connct to a network any network it keeps saying aquiring network address and will never do so. tried to repair it but it will just keep saying renewing ip address. doesnt go any further.

Now I just found out I still have the problem with my laptop shutting down.
Did some research on it. Everyone who has a Toshiba that shutdowns automatically. This is a very well known problem with their laptops especialy the Sattelite series. Toshiba knows about the problem but really isn't saying anything on it. Some think it is overheating, while others think it is in the bios. Nobody really knows for sure. I'm positive it isn't overheating since it shut off on me from only playing solitare, for about 20 min. It was not even warm, anyways there is a class action suit against Toshiba, and I'm done with their products if their shit just turns off on me whenever it feels like it. Hell I reformatted to see if that fixed the problem and it doesn't. That thing gives me more stress than a woman who is pmsn, and feels like bitchin to me just to bitch.

The power supply is integrated into the motherboard...It has massive issues with it overheating and frying the MB...I have seen a ton of them...
Make sure nothing is obstructing the fan... Also backup your data because I am guessing yours is on the way out... |

Theres nothing on it right now. I'm not gonna use another Toshiba again. All the data I had on it is gone. It wouldn't even stay on long enough for me to back anything up. So...it's just there. Gonna get a WiFi card for the Dell now.
