It shouldn't take 4 hours...
To install a freakin system. My buddy and myself can install a complete car audio system (amp, subs, wiring, everything) in about an hour. Well, he just got his new '04 Dodge Ram (things a beast) and he's been trying to save up $16 (he doesn't have a job, haha) to buy the wiring harness. Well, he finally came up with the money and we went and got the harness.
Here comes the fun part... Dodges arnt "system friendly" when it comes to places to feed wire through. We would up taping wires to floorboards (I know, ghetto rigged. But just wait...it gets better) Then come to find out that his 12v wire isn't quite long enough so we go to splice another piece of wire to it, turns out, the piece of wire was shorted. Great. Finally we just decided to move the amp so the 12v wire could reach. Well, after we move that, his ground wire (which is only about a foot and a half long, not really sure why its so short.) We find that there is no freakin piece of metal attached to the chassis near enough to the amp (its call covered in carpet.) We finally moved a rubber covering to find a useless piece of metal to the truckk, but perfect for us. We ground the wire, we think everythings going to be fine. We turn the truck on, music, but no bass. (He was pissed, haha.) I finally left after about 3 and a half hours of hard work because I had to come home and help with the tree. He gave up once I left, haha. Not the most exciting story, just goes to show that just because something appears easy, it could kick your
