Craftsman Tools

As I am searching around for gifts, I found a Craftsman 1470 piece tool set bundle on sale for $7679.90. Hurry, get it before midnight when it goes up 10%!!
I'm confused on this. Who would have no tools and suddenly decided they needed all of these tools at once?

Craftsman 1470 pc. Professional Tool Set - Model H0259 at Sears.com

they also break them up into sections.

I would buy craftsman if I needed tools.(or snap on)
they are high quality.

walk into sears with ANY broken craftsman
tool and they will replace it on the spot no questions asked.
Craftsman sticks by their warranty very well.

Craftsman fan here. Can't afford Snap on. I have several NAPA tools as well. They seem to be a quality piece too.

yeah craftsman is really good about their warranties. my dad found a big screwdriver on the side of the freeway with a broken handle, he took it to sears and gave him a new one for free.

My take on Craftsman is they are nice tools if you live close to Sears. If you just do occasional work they are nice too because they are inexpensive. If you use your tools alot I'd explore some other avenues. I've broken many Craftsman ratchets and sockets. There wrenches seem to hold up well. I spend the extra money on Mac (have some Matco and Snap On stuff as well) because they are built better. They all have lifetime warranties just like Craftsman. The problem is I don't like needing the warranty.......if you catch my drift.

Craftsman is great for the do it yourself mechanic to have tools at his house. If you're making a living with your tools it's different, and you can't beat Snap-on.

I myslef am the do it yourself home mechanic, so I can't justify paying $650 for an electronic vibrating torque wrench, not matter how cool it is

Kind of what I was trying to say. Like I said, if you make a living with your tools, and use them every day, Craftsman doesn't cut, but for what I do they're fine.

Craftsman hand tools and cool gadgets FTW.

Though I tend to buy other brands when it comes to power tools. But I like Craftsman drills.
