yeah, reports say he tried to crash land in the middle school lots next to the temple, but he didnt make it. he missed a highly traveled street in AUG - Walton Way, and there are a ton of houses where he crashed. a miracle noone else was hurt or killed

He was an old man. He should have gotten in trouble for that, but he didn't. If you've ever flown over that area before, the drag strip is perfectly in line with runway 26, and if you're retarded, it could easily be mistaken.

Used to work a Cheiftan with that color scheme on the tail. I left the door to the oil dipstick open once. Wasnt my fault. The pilot arrived late at the airport for a carnage flight. I was on the ladder checking the oil in the right engine. He came in the hanger late and asked me to run tho storage and grab some snacks for the flight. Well, the idiot moved the ladder and took off without checking the door apparently. He got to altitude and lost an engine. He made an emergency landing just fine with one engine. The side of the plane was covered in oil.

Human error is a horrible thing in flight.

When I worked line service, we had a Chieftan make an emergency landing, and he had blown a cylinder completely off the case. It was a POS freight dog, and they sent a crew to put the same cylinder back on it, and some pour soul flew that hunk of junk out of there.

We blew the front turbine seal in one of our Lear 60s about a year and a half ago, and I was lucky enough to be flying . Right after rotation, it pumped all the oil out, and we started getting lights. The great thing about the 60 is when we shut it down, we still climbed at 4000fpm . That's an awesome machine. We turned around, and landed back at home.

See, here's a picture of it. The drag strip is right in line with the runway.
