Im Done Im Selling My Car


Begin rant: So it all begins 2 weeks ago when I decided my car needed a new fuel filter. well me and a buddy of mine (he’s the one that knows cars I don’t) get to talking and decide what the hell lets get a shift kit and put it in my car. So we get it jack the car up drop the tranny pan drain the fluid and sure enough the idiots at oreilleys gave me the wrong kit. Well come to find out due to the year they don’t make one for my car id have to go electronic or nothing. We say screw it slap the pan back on we steal the gasket out of the kit sure enough pour a couple quarts in and it leaks. we then drop the pan again drain again put the old gasket back on fill it up and I’m on my way car running great. Mind you I splurged and got the full synthetic fluid to put in it.

Last week my driver side rear tire mysteriously goes flat. call him up again we get the tire off and go get it fixed come to find out the bead was bad no biggie again I’m on my way.

So 2 days ago I notice my fucking car takes forever to shift into reverse and same with drive and slips in and out of drive while going. I get to work and check the fluid sure enough dipstick comes out clean. I didn’t see a leak so I had someone go get me more fluid and filled it up and for about 1 quarter mile drive home after work it runs ok. Today I get in and sure enough same slipping shit almost doesn’t shift into gear at all (it’s an auto by the way). Get to work again check fluid still full I’m not happy at this point. So I get to going home after work to limp the piece of shit home and half way there I hear the flop flop and feel the shake. Obviously flat tire its snowing icy 8 degrees I don’t give a fuck I limp it the rest of the quarter mile. I get home sure enough tire flat off the rim fucked but the kicker it’s the front tire this time.

So here I am fucked tyranny flat tire car dies in neutral. Did I mention when we did change the fuel filter the gas that we poured out of it was a mud brown? Yea I’ve come to the conclusion all these problems a week before x-mass fuck it I’m getting rid of this piece of shit and buying something non ford I’m done

That kinda stuff happens to the best of us. Sounds like a bad luck streak to me that could happen to any car. It's the nature of the beast. There's just so much that can go wrong with something that is so complex and if it all hits at once, well, it can just be overwhelming. I hope things look up for you.

Well im born into a chevy family and wouldnt drive one if you gave it to me. Be a fucking rebel like me.

Your car is 12 years old man. How many miles you got on it? If you havent had problems with it yet and thats the original trans on a 12 year old car thats probably got a lot of miles on it. That aint bad man. And its a mustang, are you the original owner? I mean lets be honest arent to many babied mustangs out there. that fucker has probably seen more burnouts than any garage kept sissy ass i only drive my vette when its 72 degrees and sunny out.

oh hell no to those tranny flushes .....I think what happened is the trans fluid had never been changed til then and clean all the band wear off....

yeah I agree with grandma. I also think it has to do with the fluid being synthetic.

Also You Have To Check Tranny Level With Car on and Wamed up........

car has 127+ miles on it when we did it the fluid looked almost new kind of like the dealership did a flush on it before i bought it so we decided the filter looked fine and left it. i just wonder if its got something to do with the full synthetic mixing with the non synthetic in the uhh forgot the name thing we didnt drain just woke up bare with me

mixing synthetic with non sythetic would do the trick!
