Got my camera back...

A couple other people have posted some good December like pictures. I took some random "bordom" pictures too. Heres my wintery snap shots....

Through the windows and of some "Christmas" wildlife hanging out back.

Its actually my Dads camera and he's in town.. Its real nice. He took the picture of those birds in the back. He has a steady hand and can do shit with the color and stuff to make them look better.

I'll pat myself on the back for taking a picture out the window though LOL.

Ya, thats all mine... Im a blessed person... that works hard as hell. I got a sweet ass deal when real estate fell apart. Some people really got fucked but I made out like a bandit. Im kind of on an island. Its like my own little zoo here. My daughter has names for some of these knucklehead birds because they come right up to the window and she feeds them. Actually, that hawk was eating a small snake or a mouse (maybe Mickey). He had his talons stabbed right into its prey. I wish the shot would have got its bleeding breakfast.

I just thought id would be cruel to post these being that a couple guys have been posting snow peaks around their houses.

Its what they call "retention" down here or man made. Its only about 15 feet at its deepest. Its real clean water. There are big nasty ass fish in it. My brother and I made a spear out of broom handle and a screw driver and nailed one. It looked like a prehistoric plecostomus or something .See, all the water around here is connected by channels and ducts so all the fish and gators cruise around.

Its weird because nothing is real scared of humans so you can get real close for pictures and stuff.

Is that what it is? I just call it the hawk. I wasnt sure which kind because they look so similar in the book I have.

The coolest thing about that dude is that his screech is so bad ass. Its like the Flowmaster of the bird world. You know when that preditor is around because its not shy with his song. Ive seen them with 4 foot snakes flying over the water.

I think they do alot of hunting in the cow pastures behind this neighborhood.

Ive seen Florida panthers back here too. Well, they could be Bobcats Im not sure.

Its funny, people from other places think of Florida as old people and Disney. Before I moved here, I had no clue that the wildlife was like this. Its like my own little zoo. Another good way to describe it is like a twisted Africa. The bugs and animals are so different when you get north out of the sub tropics. Seems like everything is bigger and believe it or not, less agressive towards humans.

Like the wasps and bees down here are huge. But Ive never been stung and they are everywhere. Up north, I used to get stung every couple years. I dont get it.

Haha sorta, mostly just an animal person. I don't know much about birds, but I love watching the red tailed hawks fly around up here, they're so gorgeous. Mostly flying, be it birds, or planes, or super heros, really fascinates me

And Phoenix is the name of my most beloved horse.

Oh thats cool. Im a huge aviation fan of anykind as well. Theres alot of horse farms down here. I dont know crap about horses.

Ive learned alot about the non-domestic types of animals and insects here just for "safety" reasons. Ive bought a few books to learn about what to expect out of certain things. I have kids so I dont want them to get "blind sided" by any weird creatures here. Its alot different from Detroit. There you had to worry about the people not the animals.

You would love the dragonflys! I will try real hard to get a picture. They are the reddest colro you've ever seen! I mean like more red than a Crayola! Some are "Hot pink" too (excuse the 80's description). But they are beuatifull and very curious . They fly up towards me when I use a garden hose. They are such curious insects.
