a child shouldent scare someone away just cause them to be cautious...so just go with what you like doing. if you like hanging out with this girl then do it if it makes you happy

I've dated a guy who has kids before. I loved it, so did he, and his kids still love me. We only stopped dating because I moved back to Boston and the distance was really hard on both of us. But heres the thing most responsible people with children are cautious about dating because they don't want to mess around with the kid's head. It's really hard for kids of single parents to have people coming in and out of their lives. Which means you need to be very careful getting into a relationship and/or make it really clear that you're not looking for that. However if she wants fuck buddies, go ahead.

i should have said how old i am..i just turned 20 last month...she's 26..i guess its not so much the age difference as it is just her having a kid thats kinda weird..she textes me alot..my friend is having a huge birthday party tonight..if she textes me im thinking of asking her to come although i dont think she does parties...
i kinda get the feeling that she's looking for someone to hangout with like fuck buddies maybe..she plays the whole "im a baby, come over and wach disney movies" lol...but joking around..how should i pursue this in hanging out..she's a single mom that lives alone with a kid so its kinda hard to just get her to come out

Well first do you know if she has the kid all the time? Or shares custody. If she shares the night she doesn't would clearly be best. If she doesn't and you want to spend time with her out of her, you're going to need to give her a little bit of a warning so she can arrange for a play date/babysitting/sleepover whatever it may be.

she's a single mom..doesnt share custody..dad doesnt really care..its probably nothing too serious cause i havent heard from her today so i dont know..maybe i'll hear from her later..if she wants to hangout im going to go ahead and do it..im just going to becareful and not get too carried away

hey guys..i thought i'd give an update..tonight was my first time seeing her since school ended..we been texting alot though and calling...she came to visit me at work..so far everything like normal..the whole her being 26 isnt noticeble..i figure i'll start hanging out with her..sunday im going to the movies her..was going tomorrow night but there is a big ls1 meet going down so im going to catch that ..from my friends have told me is just go out and have fun but they told me not to get attached to her son..funny thing is she never talks about him so i feel like i dont have to worry about that..she's pretty hot too

That's good to hear. Def wait to get involved with her son, as Ja said its a bit unfair because kids easily get attached to people, and then to have guys up and leave would probably be hard on him.

Listen to me carefully. As long as it's clear that you are just going to be fuck buddies, that's cool.

But ask yourself this question: How involved do you want to get with a woman who never talks about her own son? Her son should be the main priority in her life, and for me, I wouldn't want to be involved with a woman who doesn't talk about him.

Were you to have your own son, GTB, ask yourself what sort of environment you would want him to be around, and then act accordingly. Karma is a bitch, brother.
