well the last pic looks KINDA grainy, but it's the same camera isn't it?
you sure you have it on the highest settings?
zip said some of his vids were like a gig long instead of like 100 megs.
which i know video and pictures are two different settings but you might can do some tweaking

yeah he's had the same one for a pretty good while hasn't he?
i could just play around with the same one at work for a while tomorrow

and see if i can find some stuff out about it if he hasn't gotten on yet

oh for night pictures... stand off center so no light is shooting in the direction of the camera, or turn the lights off and open the shutter for a longer period of time... but you cannot move the camera at all...

thats how i took my sig pic... thats at about mid night with very little light and 3 seconds shutter open... and no flash... give it a try i want to see how that power shot works

I was using the new mono pod I bought today. I'll use my tripod next time.

it'll give me something to do i guess lol but if i set it to the highest it probably wont even take one pic because the file size being to big lol but i'll see what i can do

Nice pics Red.

They are a touch grainy (what is called 'noise' in photography). Here's a couple tips

- try using the flash even in daylight. It helps eliminate shadows at times.
- use a lower ISO setting. The higher the ISO setting, the more noise can occur.
- use a tripod or set the camera on something, and use the timer, particularly for night shots.
- don't be afraid of the manual modes, and don't be afraid to take hundreds of pictures as you play with settings. With the S5, when viewing pictures, if you press the display button 3 times, it will go from displaying the picture with:
1. No information.
2. Basic DPOF (Digital Print Order Format) & time/date info.
3. Advanced Data. Including what mode the camera was in and exactly how you had the settings in that mode adjusted.

So, if you use that advanced mode, you can now rifle through your pictures on the LCD until you find the picture you like, and then note exactly how you had the camera was set up for that shot for future use.
