One of the posts I read.

I forgot that I had turned off traction control 20 minutes earlier and made a right turn when the road was wet. Doh!

By the time I went to correct this terribly-frightening fishtail, the car was out of control and the nose was headed toward the curb of the sidewalk. The right front tire hit the curb first and then the left front. The car's nose went completely up on the sidewalk.
Thank god this was at 3 AM in the rain when no one was out.
I was expecting a blown out tire, possible rim damage and possible fender damage. The car seemingly received little to no damage but I wont know until I lift the car and check the alignment which is for sure out of whack. Other than the frightening scare, I will take this as a $60 lesson. Don't leave traction control turned off for extended periods of time!

My response to that.

Get a rear-wheel drive car.

Im easily ammused, haha.

well in response to you, i want you to turn traction control off in the rain and try giving even a BONE STOCK GT 50% throttle. Your gonna spin em and get squirrely. Not trying to be a dick or anything, im just saying were just as bad in the rain

I did actually say it, that requires joining the forum, haha. But I see what your saying. Thats what you shouldnt turn traction control off in the rain! haha. And believe me, I know exactly what you mean. I drove my friends 05 gt in the rain...not fun...haha.

How the Rain Stole Friday

hahhahahaha... i'm blown... u wouldn't believe my story... i was in west covina on Glendale ave and Lakes drive goin' up when it's pouring fucking cats and dogs... I hit a curb... a spiked broken curb built solely for it's purpose as a death trap... I had my glasses on... I wasn't even driving fast... but this lane, I drove on the lane str8... and if U go str8 in this lane and NOT TURN to the left YOU WILL HIT THAT CURB... did I mention it was raining? So anywayz... I park on the side by "Tina's Tavern" and there is my car all fucked up and the rim ate up... So we get to work... IN THE RAIN... jacking up the car tryna put on the donut... just when things couldn't get any worse... I seemed to have locked my keys in the car...
my keys are in the car... and it's raining down like a punishment direct from GOD his/or/herself... or all things... i didn't get angry... i enjoyed the moment... because earlier that night playing at the rack'em up pool hall... I loudly prayed for rain... and it was like HELL frozen over and I had to survive... locked out... so anywayz before I locked myself out I'm sittin' in this car blazin' it up cuz I'm in shock and I needed to calm down.... all of a sudden... A loud sound of a freak accident of the same shit I experienced not too long ago went down... turned out, I was the first one to notice, that, I was the SECOND to Crash... so all night I'm under the cover of buildings feeling homeless on the streets... beautiful rain humming down... All night I STOOD there watching cars pass by, eventually one in three different drivers hit that same curb, a total of SEVEN cars... just as loud, just as lovely to watch, and I appreciate the creator above...
A friend of mine... wanted to hit the window in because he couldn't stand the freezing cold anymore... so he took my L.A. dodger jacket and prepared to hit my back window in with a single punch... FOLKS, this was amazing to watch... he punched it with complete anger, with rain coming down like the VietNam jungle... little did he know, that his punch would be ineffective.. he failed... miserably... but the frustration in our faces and the rain coming down and the whole scene was golden... str8 out of a movie... my crazy fuckin' life...
Meanwhile, 18 minutes later I'm still stuck in the rain... friends come to the rescue and as we left the scene of the crime, I noticed the other side of the door a lil' bit open... The whole GODDAMN time I'm stuck in the rain for painful hours on end... 2 hours in the cold azz rain.... the otherside was OPEN... like nothing.... like GOD magically appeared and opened my car out of sympathy.... Like I said...
I still laughed at the situation though... I had to expect the unexpected... and if it couldn't get anymore worse, it got even worser... I was a lost soul....
So the ending of my joint right here... will end sorta like this... I return home safely, thanks to a friend's beautiful pregnant wife's Triple AAA card.... We wait in a busy West Covina intersection on Vincent 76 gas station off the ten freeway... Homeboy by the name of Dennis the menace joins the fray... saves the day... now I'm on a tow-truck ridin' 10 East home... the homie asks if i smoke bud??? I'm like hell yea, bust out my pipe... =] ... he busts outta "JAY"... smokin' smokin smokin jokin' smokin' gettin' blown than a muthafucka... Long story not SHORT... I arrive HOME alive.... I survived the crazy night... intact... Now with the control arm broken, and a replacement ball joint in place is ALL I NEED TO GET BACK ON MY WINGS....
I need to do it before TUESDAY 16th of OCTOBER... before I have to go back to school.... otherwise I have to use the bus... maybe I'll find love on the bus... Anywayz, I'm back off to where I started... I'm home now...

same here... and I always have traction control off... its all in the throettle control.

LMAO tell me bout it no TCS and 4.10's here with a t lock. if one tire goes they both go. im always randomly fishtailing in the snow.

The only crash I had was in the rain. Once that thing got squirrely, there was no coming back. Those pirelli's don't grab at all.
