If I follow that right, sounds like you got a nice set up. I had a 200 gallon salt years ago. I considered it and its console to be furniture. It was the first thing you noticed in the house. It was like a full time job keeping up with it. I had some nice fish.

My son was 3 years old at the time. One morning he decided that the fish needed breakfast. He took a chair over to the tank. Poured in a box of Cherios which would have been fine but... according to him, cant have cherios without milk and sugar! A whole gallon of milk and a 4 lb bag of sugar. Everything died.

Post some pictures dude! Nice tanks are hard work. Lets see. I wasa thinking about a small tank again. I'd really like to go snorkeling and try and catch my own to keep. I always thought that would be cool. Even if it was ugly.

in my experince the more water volume (larger tank) the easer it is to take care of and a wet dry sump is the best filtation i will post pics in the morning what kind of fish or invertables did you have?

Gosh, its been so long. We had clownfish, basslets and hogfish. I had some live coral that was a beautifull purple. My favorite was this little crab dude the kids called Mr. Crabby. He would take grouper pieces from your hand with his claw. In fact, Mr Crabby was the sole survivor of the nuclear cherios disaster. We gave him to a friend of mine who also had a tank.

You know, maybe I'll do fresh water just because it doesnt take as much attention. Ive had freshwater tanks before and some of the African Ciclids are cool fish. I had a yellow one that would fuck with the crayfish when none of the other fish would. They're little fighters. I was always putting things in there to see who would be dominant. The ciclids would stand up to the oscars.... and if you know anything about oscars, they tough ass fish.
