picked this up on friday, new in box w/night sights for $450... also got a few extra 13 round mags with the +2 bottoms and free lock.... this my first glock but own another .45 the tried and true 1911

i have the same pistol alos. youll love it. that is my exact gun tht i shoot in competition but mine has been worked over pretty good. youll love the glock. as for the .45 its not the best stopper but is effective most of the time. ill take a .40 over it.

thanks bro, gonna order me a set of those sandpaper decal grips... what holster are you using, and any feedback on them?

the sand paper grips are awsome. should be your first mod to the gun. the holster i am using is a custom made kytac holster. i know the guy personally and shoot with him all the time. hes a grand master in ipsc and makes some bad ass holsters. hold on a min and ill go dig up a pic of my gin in the holster. i can also get you in touch with him to make you a holster and ill give ya his website. his holsters are very fast and very nice. whatever you do, do not buy a fobus, they are shit and are very slow. be back in a few with a pic and website

he can make them in a simple black or can do some neat designs like i have. you cant get one like i have. i have the only one that is like this in these colors and he will not make one for anyone else!!!

and heres my new site witch i would also reccomend. they should have come stick on the glocks. they are meprolight adjustable night sites. unless your shooting comps, go for the reg meprolite night sights. but they blaze at night and very easyto line em up in the dark.

also while your getting the grips, pick up some g-lube also. i think its like 6 or 8 bux but the stuff really does make a difference in the smoothness. i use it in all of my guns from the pistols, to the ar, to the shotguns. the stuff imply works. also grab an extended slide release. youll think the stock one is okay untill you try the extended one. 100,000x better than the stock relase. if you have any other ?s about what works on these pistols and what doesnt let me know. ive used a lot of different stuff on my glock and have finally found the combo that kicks ass

it doesnt have enogh soeed to expand, it doesnt have the penetration which is vital for the best trauma!!! go read up, youll see.

thats what i carry in all of my weapons also, and thats what i carry in my 45 when i carry it. im not saying the 45 is shitty but ballisticlly, its not as good as the .40. the federal hydra shock are one of the best bullets made that dont cost a shit ton of money. they are fairly cheap compared to some others. glaser safty slugs are probably the best but are a shit load of money
