anyone know the bhp and torque for these things?

he wants to race me, im almost certain I can slaughter him, but I wanna know what Im up against first...

230bhp, about 200 to the wheels, capable of mid 14s with the auto(350s came in autos) and high 14s(14.80s with good drivers and its a 305) his powerband stops at about 5k, u should slaugter him pretty good if u can drive... good luck

ill be sure to dude. All the cars ive raced so far (2) were pretty damn fast despite my guesses. both hondas, but one runs in the mid to high 13s and the other low 14s (i got a shitty launch and too throttle happy)

anyway his car is sick I have to give that to him. Its got 88k orginal miles on it and its immaculate on the interior and exterior. He hates Mustangs and said hish is quickand shit. Im sure he can get me off the line for like a few feet because all he has to do is stomp the gas, but i should slaughter.

i know they have to have some torque under em. i beleive his is the 350. i looked under the hood today and it wasnt a small engine by an means...

i thought automatic trannys lost about 20% of their crank power? I figure with 230bhp hed have roughly 185 rwhp?

u should win but one of those marrows can be made fast for cheap so make sure its not too modded.

roughly yes, they where slightly underrated to leave room for the vette, its about 200 rwhp, should be about 240 at the crank in reality. and the reason y the auto is faster then the manual is because it has a different motor, the 305 came with 225 and actually dynoed around 190 stock.

these cars are stupid though, if they arent 100% they arent worth a damn...

Here's my 1987 IROC-Z.


These cars get a bad reputation, but they really aren't that bad. Mine was an LB9, (305 TPI) now an LT1, and I went 14.7 in the 1/4 with exhaust and free mods. Not bad for a 20 yr old car.

Now, if your buddy has a TBI, he doesn't stand a chance against a Civic. It al depends on the motor his has.

holy shit! that looks EXACTLY like his RAGE, well minus the tint. I found out how I can tell exactly whch motor hes running though. 8th digit in the vin will be an 8if its the 350 andan F if its the 305

Honestly, I never really like the 3rd gen camaros but I just dont know what it is about that blue. It made me like em...

and to nes. so it should actually be closer if he has the 350? being that they underrated the engine? does anyoneknow the curbweight of theiroc z? id image heavier than the 4th gens and the 4th gen ttops z28 weighs roughly 3550 if im not mistaken

it weighs about 3200-3300 without all the options, they weigh about 300 lbs less then the 4th gens

not bad for a 20 year old car?.. not to brag/take stage, but ive had my rustang in the high 13's just on slicks... I never liked those body style.. they look fugly as hell. The only chick that i could see being picked up in that car would be a 2nd or 3rd cousin... But different strokes, for different folks.. I do love the motor swap though
