General Hardware Failure. Well right now I'm trying the tircks (within warrenty limits btw) to bring it back before I call customer support. I might sound stupid saying this, but, will you lose your memory in your hard drive if you take it out of your system?

Its what us Xbox 360 owners fear most. It is when the console will not work for a particular reason. I've already stated mine, there are also ones that involve overheating.

no, you wont lose anything. when you call tech support and they tell you to send it in, they tell you to send in the console itself, no cables, no custom faceplates, no games that could be inside of it, and to remove the hard drive first.. when they send it back to you, it should be as good as new.. when i sent mine in, my power button was sticking a little, and the hinges on the swivel door that cover the usb inputs on my faceplate was broken, but when they sent it back, everything worked perfectly -hardware and software

they will send you a box with some foam inserts and you send it to them (console only) and taking your harddrive out doesnt hurt it at all....that is one reason why it is on the outside of the console so that you can take it off and take it and all your data to a friends house, i do it all the time

the wait time though will very from 3 weeks to 8 weeks or more till you get the new one at your hosue. my cousin moved and called them and told them....they still sent the box to the wrong house. It took them about 4 weeks just to get the box to his house. Everyone of my friends have had to send theirs in along with my cousin. They make fun of mine for some reason but mine is still working almost like new (knock on wood)

this is what microsoft (and sadly its customers) get for releasing the console earlier than it originally planned

mine took about 2 weeks from the time i called, to the time i got it back in the mail.. it took them about a week and a half just to send me the box i was supposed to ship it in.. it took no time flat for them to repair it and send it back

nope, because alot of the information is stored in the console itself, not the hard drive.. therefore you would lose alot of your information by getting a new console.. i even checked the serial number when i got it back, and it is indeed the same console i sent in

actually if they send you a new console you will not lose any saved info if you have a hard drive. How do i know that well i recieved another refurbished 360 when mine went bad and i went right back to playing and didn't lose any info. Dude did you try smacking it on the side pretty hard, mine has been working with no problems since i did that. i am a electronics technician, and sometimes i know all it needs is a smack to get things working right.

everything is gutted, i don't have a stereo, speakers, amps, ac, air bags, rear seat, front or rear bumper supports, racing seats, all i have left to do is remove power steering and go to manual brake and rack. I still have the sound deadning material cause that takes too much time to remove 4lbs worth of crap.
