Ok....i just read your whole first post......that WHOLE thing sounded exaggerated.

My car only put down 465 torque at the wheels compared to your 512...but still....theres no way that I can believe that you werent able to feather your throttle in 4th gear.

Ive driven mine in snow before too. Theres this one lil town right north of the base that always gets a nice amount of snow every year. Sometimes friends and I would go up there, drive around, eat, and check out the scenery.

There was about a half mile stretch of redlights and it seemed like that whole area of road had frozen over. And we got across it very slowly and nobody ran off the road. All you have to do is press the throttle very slowly and drive very slowly and you can get where you need to go. It'll take a hell of a lot longer to get there but I dont see how you were unable to drive slowly in your car.

Did you have a twin disc "no slip" clutch and a 4.10 in the rear end?

Lets hope that was a joke. That'd be a pretty dumb thing to do.

Believe it Will. In my basically stock GT I can barely touch the throttle in second gear. It's not just the power. It's also the posi working against you, and the wide tires.

They are just brutal in snow.

Back in early December I was contemplating selling the car, and so I took the car about 30 miles south to my friend's house to pull the system out of the car. While I was down there I changed my mind, and so I wound up leaving pretty early. Which was a good thing. Just as I got about 2 miles from home the snow had accumulated about 2-3 inches. I was barely able to get the car home. Just trying to let the car slow down from 15 mph without even touching the brakes, and the clutch in, the car would get squirrelly.

Every snowfall is different Will. Sometimes the roads are more or less slippery than other times. Different temperatures affect traction. Different tires affect traction. Different tire pressures affect traction. Different wear on tires affect traction.

But overall, Mustangs suck in the snow.

There is a reason you rarely see a Mustang GT, let alone a Terminator, driving around up here in the winter.

Yeah our cars are definetly not designed with snow in mind. I had serious issues last winter with the V6... I had that puppy locked in third and she was sliding around like crazy. Then again what car does that well in snow that ways under 3 tons? I've seen 4x4 F150's go sliding across interestates and peel out as much as we do. Snow in general sucks.

Humanity should just hibernate over the winter... but we'd have to keep all the thin girls on IV's or something so they dont get fat

Mustangs are not made for snow. They probably don't even sell chains for the rear tires!
