[ZOOTOXIN]

I usually have good judgment. I went into a Kinkos to deliver a package and I wasn’t even in there 15 minutes. There was a few flurries when I entered but when I came out there was an inch and a half of snow and was still dropping. No exaggeration-I've never seen it come down so hard and so fast. They were gulf ball sized flakes. As soon as I cleared my windows of snow and got in the car the back window was covered again and I had to get out and clear it again. I attempted to move the car and was able to go about a quarter mile and that was it. Car went sideways. I managed to slide as close to the curb as possible without hitting it so that I could park it out of traffic. I couldn’t even feather the clutch in 4th. Way too much torque to the wheels. A few front wheel tuners drove by with a smile but don’t worry their asses will be mine when the snow clears. I called in for a flat bed tow truck and hauled my car home and parked it. I was lucky I stopped when I did and didn't proceed because when I was sitting on the side of the road on the cell phone I saw a maroon Mustang GT go by with no problem-so I thought. When the tow truck was taking me home I saw the GT about 200 yards down the road laying on its side in a 4 foot ditch. Sad day for that driver I’m sure. I’m just glad I decided to pull over. I would have left my car where it was stuck if it wasn’t for all the asshole drivers who almost slid into me. No damage to my car-just my ego of being a great driver. Scary day to say the least-so be careful out there guys!

Thanks zip-you would have laughed at what i call a snow storm compared to what you get. It is an aweful feeling not being able to move. My girl had the truck and I had to get some loan docs back to the settlement company I was representing. I feel best when she is safe in the 4x4. When I KB my car in the spring I hope to have a beater to drive next winter.

Baltimore Maryland-usually mild weather. thank got i get free unlimited emergency towing with my insurance company so it didnt cost me any cash just ten finger nails I bit off while people slid by me.

Yeah man. RWD + fat tires + lots of power = going nowhere in the snow.


I but a cheapass beater and drive it until it is flat out ready for the boneyard, and then I but another one. If you stick a 250 dollar beater in the ditch or the guardrail, it doesn't really matter as long as no one is hurt. lol

i was driving in the snow one time...in 4th going around 30 if i hit the gas to much the front end would start sliding every where.....right after that i passed a cop in a ditch.....it was awesome

I don't think baltimore is all that even though that is one mans oppinion. I actual live in catonsville which is in Baltimore and we were voted number one place to live in maryland for 2007. I' didn't get any F--ckin prize so it means very little to me.

I have a 240 mile one-way commute, so driving my Stang in the winter is not an option. It would take me 10 hours to get home. lol

Also my car may wind up having higher than average miles on it (25,000 miles already on my 07), but at least I will be able to say it never saw snow and salt.
