did anyone see the game between oklahoam universtiy vs. oregon. it was completel bullshit. 2 reviewed calls in a row that were compltely obvious that the ref fucked up. i dont understand why they have the fucking rule that they can review when they are just going to fuck it up that much worse. its a sad day here in oklahoma but oklahoma won that game fair but they got screwed by the refs

It was big time BS. I can see possibly blowing 1 call but at least two were obviously wrong. NCAA should look into that officiating crew.

That ref crew has officially been 'suspended' by the PAC 10.
They shouldn't be refs ever again IMO.

The Pac-10 Conference suspended the officiating crew and instant replay officials who worked Saturday's Oklahoma-Oregon contest for one game after a review found errors that led to the Ducks' 34-33 victory in Eugene, Ore.

In a statement released Monday, Pac-10 commissioner Tom Hansen also offered an apology to OU officials for the two calls conference officials declined to reverse in the final 72 seconds.

"The fact that the errors on the onside kick altered the outcome of the game is most unfortunate and unsettling," Hansen said in the statement. "We had a solid veteran crew assigned, and the instant replay official had a fine career as a referee in the Pac-10.

"Errors clearly were made and not corrected, and for that we apologize to the University of Oklahoma, coach Bob Stoops and his players. They played an outstanding college football game, as did Oregon, and it is regrettable that the outcome of the contest was affected by the officiating."

The first play involved an onside kick that was touched by an Oregon player before it traveled the required 10 yards, which the Pac-10 said should have been awarded to Oklahoma. Furthermore, the Pac-10 said video replays showed an Oklahoma player actually recovered the ball.

On a subsequent Oregon play, Oklahoma was called for pass interference that set up the game-winning touchdown despite the Sooners arguing the ball was had been tipped at the line of scrimmage, which would have nullified the call. Officials ruled there was not indisputable video evidence to overturn the penalty. Hansen said that officials are limited to the available television shots of the action, but "ample views were available" on the kickoff.

Oregon scored two touchdowns late in the game for a 34-33 victory.

Earlier Monday, University of Oklahoma president David Boren, in a letter to Big 12 commissioner Kevin Weiberg, called the officiating problems beyond an "outrageous injustice" and called for action. Boren called for an apology, that the game officials be suspended for the remainder of the season and that the game not be recorded as a win or loss by either team.

"I appreciate the apology issued by the Pac-10 commissioner and his action in penalizing the game official," Boren said in a statement late Monday.

"I hope this will lead to further national review of the responsibilities of replay officials and the way in which they interact with game officials on the field. I also hope this situation will lead the Pac-10 to change their policy of requiring that only officials of the Pac-10 officiate the home games of Pac -10 universities when they are hosting a non-conference opponent."

Weiberg responded Monday, saying the result of the game should stand regardless of the officiating.

"There is no provision under NCAA or conference rules for a game result to be reversed or changed as a result of officiating errors, nor do I believe there should be," he said. "Officiating decisions are part of the game just as are decisions of coaches and athletes, and determining what errors

should result in overturning results would be chaotic."
