XBOX Live help

I've tried everything to get my NAP settings off of strict. I've made a DMZ server, updated the router firmware, I googled help articles and followed those to no avail. It still says strict. I'm sick and have been trying to do this for 2 hours. Please help me

i had the same trouble with my old wireless router and had to end up getting a new router.

sad but true. did everything but couldn't change the NAT settings

i just remembered that some routers don't work with video game consoles.. i remember when i bought a new router at best buy like a year ago one of the people that worked there were explaining the differences to me between a router for gaming and a regular router.. i think they're about the same price and i'm pretty sure they have all the same functions, except you cant play video games online with one of them

older Linksys wireless G

ended up getting a newer Linksys wireless G with speedbooster and haven't had a problem.

redfire, i have a netgear router, and had the same probem.

Call netgear and they will walk u through the process. Took the woman all of 20 minuts of trouble shooting on the phone with me. Prepare to speak to an indian woman who wants u to rate her service.... they will haunt u

cheap lynksis's are crap

i would reccomend a cheap belkin like the my essentials, had the regular wireless g lynksis and the very cheap my essentials and the my essentials has better range, don't have to restart it all the time like my lynksis even to get the wired to work and all in all just a better router to me

. the lynksis are easier to set up and all but, they burn out after like 6 months, or at least a lot that we sell at officemax have.
guess it goes to show you that just because cisco backs them that doesn't mean that their great

I'm sick and don't want to deal with some Indian guy who barely speaks english because I will get pissed and get nowhere.

i had no problems at all with my old linksys g. but ever since we got this netgear POS i have had problems constantly.

If you have done the dmz server. open up port 88 UDP and 3074 UDP. do both the dmz and the ports. if it doesnt work after that you are SOL

Net gear obviously sucks. I got a Belkin the cheapest one Walmart had and it works great

And I paid 30 bucks for it
