Hey, some of you know me some not.

Im not a video game nerd and i might play this once a week for an hour or so.

So heres the deal. I have an Xbox...some army dude at a base close by posted in craigslist he wants a basic xbox back and wants to sell his 360. So i emailed him and we talked. He says nothign wrong with it, he just doesnt have time for it either. So i have a MINT xbox and 2 controllers, i told him give me 50 for it. So we are now down to 150 for the 360, only a few months old. One game i think, but can i use xbox games on 360 ?

Heres the real question...What do i look for so i dont get taken. Is there something i should look for to make sure its not broken. I told him i am comming to his place to pick it up and see if it works. I wanna play it before i buy it. Hes ok with this. He also said he would take 20 off if i pick it up. SO im cool with that.

I know there are a TON of nerd kids on here who know a ton about this system.

If it's the basic arcade version of 360 original x box games won't work. Only the pro and higher versions came with the ability to read both.

as for making sure it works or not, if u can play a game on the thing, u've got no worries. If there are any red lights that come on at anypoint, theres an issue with it. Lights should be green.

How do i tell if i have a arcade version, and is that the only difference is i cant play basic games on it ?

just because the x box comes with a hard drive, doesn't mean it isn't an arcade version. U can purchase them speratley. The only way to know FO SHO is to bring a normal x box game with u that works, and play it.

WoW is one of the most addicting games in the world. People have taken there own lives over it, lost there jobs, and gained severe cases of acne.
It's a free roam game where u run around baddling people in some sort of fantasia world. U can be an Elf, Wizard, ogre, etc.

well if he has xbox live than he can download the patches for them when he puts them in........or he can go on ebay and buy one of those disks that have the patches on them
